SOS call turn off
2003 SL500 How do I turn off the SOS phone system? It is outdated and is a nuisance. Thanks

This will require SDS (Star Diagnosis, the official shop system the dealer's use). If you have access to it, I think there are instructions floating around on the forum for how to do it. Several components have to be coded to disable it. Having said that, if you are getting warnings and messages from it, then something is wrong. Under normal operation, even though the system is outdated and analog cellular is dead, it should not annoy you with any alerts.

My dealer disabled the SOS on my 2003 SL500. Takes only a minute.
