Would you have any idea of the LCD screen model number for my 2003 s430. I purchased a used unit that was in excellent shape but I still want to change the screen on my old unit.
I changed out my screen yesterday - I ordered mine from Ali Express and it took about a month to get - for my 2005 SL 500. It made a big difference in the visibility. I followed the process from YouTube and it took less than 30 minutes to do.

my 07 SL55 COMAND was replaced by the previous owner because the screen was not displaying correctly but the radio was fine. This “new” one works intermittently but the screen is fine. Can we switch the screen from the new one with the old one?
To follow up on this, I returned the screen and bought another one with a part no that matched exactly my original screen and everything lines up perfectly. Not sure if a quality control issue or what. Someone asked for some instructions and here’s what I can offer:

The screen is fine, its how you've mounted it. When you re-assemble and before you replace all those screws at the back just push the screen upwards a few mm and then tighten screws as there is an amount of play, I had the same issue when I replaced mine.
To help others who want to replaced the screen, give it a go its easy ! I bought mine on eBay, just matched up the part number and swapped it out, take your time and you can use my video that I created in real time on exactly what to do, from car removal to replacing screen from PCB, so you can play and pause as you replace your screen.

If anyone is interested I just disassembled my CL65 nav unit and had the same issue as 850 CSI, will have to do it all over again with a different screen, I can take a video and post if anyone needs it, its significantly more complicated on the slide down screens like mine

If you have some extra cash, I highly recommend replacing with an Alpine Halo9 head unit and discarding all Bose components. You will have better than Burmester Audio quality with 2022 conveniences like Blue tooth and navigation etc. Not cheap but you will fall in love with your car again with a more superior sound system. Hit me up if need help.
I too have a 2007 SL550 with a faded screen. I would take you up on your offer to replace it but I see that you are in TX - I'm in FL. I hope to find someone to replace it near me. For starters, I would like to order the the best replacemant screen and there are a number of options from E-Bay. Alibaba, and AliExpress. Can you guide me to the correct choice?
