Headlight question.

When the ignition is off, is there a headlights "On" alarm in a 2006 SL500? I have looked in the manual and it doesn't state there is one. Seems kind of silly to leave that out of the mix considering all the other alarms and alerts in the car. I left my Day Time Running Lights on twice and fortunately I was away from the car only a short time on both occasions. Thanks for the help.

RTFM, page 124, Section "Setting Daytime running lamp mode". Set to "Constant" and they will be on with Auto selection.

Re-read it all and I finally got it. I didn't realize the engine had to be running for the DLRs to be on. Thought the "Run" position of the key was enough. Thanks for the help.

NO LONGER ACTIVE
I am guessing there was a change in later model years? On mine (MY2011), the headlights go off with the ignition, regardless of switch position. I jut leave the headlights and the front fogs on all the time. I do this in order to be as visible as possible because my car is "invisible". It's true! I must be, as other drivers do not see me at all and try to place their vehicles in the same spacetime as mine.
