When my 2011 SL550 gets above 30 mph my ride side rear view mirror starts to oscillate up and down, like someone is pressing the mirror control button up and down over and over constantly. It is not a full swing up and down but more of a gitter. When I slow down below 30 mph the mirror returns to a fixed position. Any clue what might cause this?
I had similar experience when backing up. Not sure what is the cause of that or how to fix it. But what i did is i selected the other mirror for adjustment and it stopped.
Just like on the attached picture the left mirror is selected for adjustment, push the button for the other mirror. That fixed my problem, never experienced again - although never attempted to see if it's still glitching
