2005 SL 500 Soft trunk close wont work
So I have had a few issues with this car. It sat parked for 2 yrs outside under a tree before I got it. Many issues mostly from just sitting. Fixed the hydraulics. Fixed the retractable roof. Fixed drivers door latch but I cannot get the trunk to open unless with a key and the doors will not lock either. I also have to slam the trunk hard to get it to close. When I press the door unlock on key fob or on dash The lights will flash but that is all. Is the Trunk and Doors related? If so how do I fix them. I did check the actuator in the trunk latch assembly and it doesn't appear to be leaking any air and it looks new. Any help would be awesome.

The common thread between the door locks and the trunk latch is that they are all operated pneumatically. I suspect you have a problem with the PSE pump or a massive leak in its hoses. I'd start by checking the fuse (#71, on the rear fuse panel).
