SL/R230: Heater malfunction

Heater malfunction
I have a 2005 SL550 AMG I just purchased from the Mercedes dealer in Seattle recently. My heater is not working properly. When one gets air flowing warm air comes out of the up right vents and cold air comes out of the left upper vents. The dealer last week installed a heater regulator and air pump and it is still doing the same thing one has to turn the heat regulators all the way up to the stops 80 plus degrees to get any kind of heat out of the system.
Any ideas?

Hi Brad, welcome to the forum! Just a quick FYI, either your car is not a MY2005, or it's not an SL550. Maybe it;s an SL55? Or an SL500? If it is an SL550, then it's at least a MY2007. Anyhow, if the dealer is doing this work under some sort of warranty or purchase agreement, then I'd let them handle it. If you are paying them for this work, then I will assume that they scanned the ACC for diagnostic odes. If so, get those codes and post them here. It could be a faulty temperature sensor or humidity sensor. It could also be a bad ACC control panel. But again, there are codes that should point in the correct direction.
