tricky issue SL65 , radiator fan module?
Okay so I am in Sydney Australia and purchased a fan motor and module for my SL65 part number being OEM A220 500 02 93 from also a member on this site coincidently, he says the fans working and that another module under the dash for the internal blower motor is the module that is preventing the fan from working and that his part he sent me after two months works!.
I was under the impression the module for the radiator fan is also at the front of the car connected to the fan motor, as a one unit. He says otherwise. I know the temperature sensor is the only other issue that could prevent the motor from getting a correct reading. But the reading on the temp guage works and when it hits "H" fan motors dont activate. I have checked fuses and relays, they all seem to be good.
Anybody able to shed light on this issue? I feel bad if he has to pay the postage both ways and I am in the wrong, I also do not expect to be ripped off and sold a part faulty that he claims isn't.
Please guys if anyone can help us sort this out, and get my beast back running
attached below is the part in dispute

I believe you are correct, and "he" is wrong. But you can't conclude the fan assembly you got is faulty without verifying the control signal from the engine ECU is valid by measuring its DC voltage. The manual states it should be 3 volts or more, though I think it could go as low as 1-1/2.
