Nice job! Good plan getting SDS - it will pay for itself many times over.

Did you put new calipers in, or just cleaned and painted the old ones? And could you, please, share how you restored the headlights? Thanks.

I just cleaned, wire brushed, sanded and painted the calipers and new MB decals...I used VHT Caliper spray paint...They have other colors too...Silver is more natural to me...On the lights I just wet sanded them with 1200 sandpaper then used medium compound with an orbital buffer @ 1800 RPMs, Resand any dull spots, rebuff a few more times, then light cut compound @ 2000 Rpms and just ran some wax over them with the buffer...Everyone has there own technique of this procedure, this has always worked well for me...

There is no way I could ever find another Sl with similar mileage in the condition this is in now with all the upgrades it has...

Got it off of ebay for 350.00...It is a C3 version... You need a later version for a 2011...

I have a C3 version and it works just find for my MY2011 SL550. It's not the "C3" vs. "C4" that matters - it's the version of the software.

They usually list the version by model year. I have 2011, and also a copy of 2014. I never got the 2014 to work well, so I stick with the 2011 (which si also the year of my latest MBZ).
