evaporator temperature sensor

How much work is it to replace the evaporator temperature sensor on a 2003 500 SL? Where exactly is it located?

What makes you believe that you need to change that sensor that is located in the upper portion of the drivers side footwell.

Evaporator sensor

My a/c doesn’t blow out cold. The compressor works all my gauges are reading the correct pressure
freon level is full. Also the fan and a/c will come on even after you try to cut it off

If the evaporator temperature sensor were your problem, the compressor would be essentially off. And if that were the case I don't believe you'd see typical high and low pressures on your gauges.

Sounds like it has more to do with your HVAC controls and vent controller. Do you have access to hook up to SDS to see exactly what everything is doing?
