Hi all could anyone advise me on buying a new abc pump ie best place or should I just go to the main dealer .

I got mine at Parts Geek. Go for OEM new and stay away from rebuilt, I went through two rebuilt ones that each failed immediately.

most dealers now only carry the pump as a rebuilt unit and very few have new ones left. the original pump is made by LUK and there are a few places that still have them available new. I got mine from eeuroparts.com

That's a good price for that pump. Dealer price for a rebuilt pump is about $1400. I have ordered fro eeuroparts.com in the past and been very satisfied with the entire experience. .
