30 minute clock setting
Having trouble with latest time shift in the 2005 SL500. Country and timezone set fine, hours and AM/PM adjust as desired, but minutes are off by 8 (late) and up/down arrows only adjust by 30 minutes...tried reset in the COMMAND menu to no effect, but cannot find disconnect COMMAND SAT that is also mentioned in the manual in the actual COMMAND options. Any help appreciated! Internet advice so far was to disconnect battery,

In my 2005 SL, I use the settings menu in the instrument cluster.
1) Enter settings and select time
2) Disable syncing with the head unit
3) Adjust time as necessary
4) Optionally re-enable syncing with the head unit. I normally leave this off

Same issue? Going back to 1999
Once I sort out my ABC issues, I'm going to add a double DIN touch screen stereo.

That is normal. Car is waiting for satellite connection , which should effectively adjust your clock with frightening precision.

See this thread of mine a couple of months back. https://mbworld.org/forums/sl-class-...set-clock.html
I ended up desynchronizing the clock from the head unit and set it manually. It appears that there is no fix.
