SL/R230: SL500 Weekend Cruiser questions

I bought a former Florida car. Unless you know for sure that it was kept mostly in the garage, it may not be the best climate for a car. Plastic gest extremely brittle when exposed to a lot of UV. Glue (and there is a lot of it in SL500 trims) looses adhesion, etc. I paid 9K plus sales tax for mine 2003 SL500 with 91K on it. I had it for slightly more than 2 years. By this summer I hope to have most everything working and fixed. Nothing that has ever stopped me from driving it, but not everybody is comfortable with driving a car that displays "ABC Problem, Drive carefully" every time it hits a pothole. Also it has been a coup instead of a roadster for last year and a half. If I knew as much about these cars then as I know now, I would not have bought this particular one, but it is possible that I will buy another one or two in the future for a song (like 4K) and bring it up to snuff. One word of advise - avoid cars that have fake AMG decals on them (removing them is one of the tasks on my list). And another advise - these cars are beautiful, so in a right (for you) combination of colors you'll be so attracted to it, that you might overlook things. Be cool, do not let the car seduce you.
I read a lot about it lately and always learn something new.

I assume you don’t own an SDS to confirm.
I’m not even sure how helpful it would be since the problem is intermittent.
Wonder what Rodney would say about it.
Are the accumulators same for the front and back? This warning would drive me nuts.

Rodney would say...get SDS! And yes, according to this excellent resource:

Sounds like time for new accumulators.

I have SDS. It is just not my highest concern at the moment. It has been doing it for 2.5 years now. My first priority for now is new problem - coolant leak, then change front pads and rotors, then fixing the roof, and then, some day, ABC and suspension (squeaks and such). Now for some good news. I might even say - miracles. Pink shrimp is gone. Completely. By itself. Guess, it got warmer outside. To even things out second hinge on the driver vanity mirror cover broke (I fixed the first one two years ago with mechanic's wire).

So, I was in the area but didn't have time to look at it. Was going to go a few days later, but my w204 had the esl issue. $1200+ repair fixed for $25 as diy. Unfortunately during that time the vehicle got sold, so the search continues.
I read that more 03's were produced than 04&05's combined. There are mostly 03's for sale here.
As far as the pink shrimp issue I found, I did see a thread in the SLK section in which the screen can be replaced rather than the whole cluster. Can this be done on the r230 as well? (It should)
