Interesting "keyless go" symptom

I was preparing to replace the right side keyless go door handle thinking the existing one didn't work. The rubber cover is missing but I pressed the microswitch. Nothing happened and I went on to other matters only to notice keyless go locked itself after about 60 seconds. It turns out to work but only after a long pause (unlike the left side that works immediately}. So I just ordered new rubber covers and will live with the slow locking time.

NO LONGER ACTIVE
Is it slow to lock, or is the car auto-locking? Keep in mind that if you unlock the car, but don't open a door, it will re-lock after about 60 seconds.

I hadn't considered that. Maybe my keyless go is not locking after all. I will play around with it some more.

You were right. It was the automatic lock working and not the keyless go. Oh well, got a couple of new rubber covers coming. Now it is back to looking for a good handle on ebay.
