[HELP!] 05 Mercedes SL500 - limp transimssion?
Hi everyone - I have a 2005 mercedes sl 500. It runs and drives mostly fine. Yet, when I give the car a lot of gas, the car jerks and loses power. The transmission appears to go into a limp mode, but once I pull over/restart the car, the problem is gone. Any thoughts on why this is happening?

Yep. Get it scanned and I bet you have the dreaded turbine speed sensor failure. It will keep getting worse. You need to replace the speed sensors in the transmission conductor plate. Best to pull the conductor plate and send it to Circuit Board Medics. There are some YouTube videos on how to remove it. Not too hard (once you've done it). Or, take it to a shop that knows what they're doing to pull it. You will be without your car for several days.
