I was thinking of replacing the current head with a Pioneer AVIC-W8500NEX.
The earlier pioneer is available for $800 instead of the current model for $1200. The current model came out in February Any advice?

Night vision
night vision camera in the front of the car behind the grill.
It looks like the camera could fit behind the star, but I'd need to cut a hole in the mesh behind the star. The grills don't seem expensive, but is it important that I leave the original grill intact?
It would be nice to feed the night vision and navigation maps into a heads up display. Has anyone done this?
For a heads up display I was thinking of a Kiric, (Navdy went out of business). Does anyone know if this fits?
