LEFT MAIN CYLINDER LEAK
I just opened my roof the the summer yesterday. For the second consecutive year, I've found a very small drop of hydraulic fluid on my drivers side near the small roof flap . From research, I've
determined it to be the Left Main Roof Cylinder. How difficult is it to replace this cylinder? Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Also you'll be able to find more threads using "search" about roof leaks or cylinder replacement/refurbishing

Replacing that cylinder is somewhat time consuming, as I recall. The instructions are in the Mercedes WIS software. If Rodney sees this thread, he may reply with links to them.
If you are going to work on this car yourself, then you need a Chinese-cloned Star Diagnosis System (SDS). Cost is c. $300. In addition to the diagnostic software and hardware component, it will include the WIS, electrical schematics, and the parts catalog.

Thanks for the info. Fluid levels are ok - I get a drop after a period of months when the top is not in operation. However, during the time when I operate the top, I do not
see any fluid. I'll just live with it for now...
