Rear Windows do operate separately

I accidently found that the rear windows can be operated separately from the roof. With the yop up, hold down the window button past the one touch click. About 2 seconds after front window opens, the rear one will also. To close, reverse the situation. Remember, the button must be held beyond the one touch click.
Was I the only one that didn't know this trick?

speedy rear side windows operation!

Well, after daily use of my Launch Edition SL 500 for over 28 months, I've learned something-- I've always used to do a delayed, double click!
-Now, what else is still a secret function to me?

Thanks for the tip. Giff Albright of State College, PA

Try this:
1. Wind all 4 windows down.
2. Now press and hold the recirculation button for a few seconds.
3. Presto. All windows close.

Mercedes calls this the "Tunnel Mode"

..and with a SmartTop module, the captain of the ship taps the roof switch twice to raise/lower two or four windows, as programmed according to his preference.

One of the best written car manuals I've read. And I have read it - cover to cover - some years ago, but forgot about these features! I wonder how many of us have read the book that came with our cars? It's full of salient information..
