PARTING OUT 2007 SL550
Hi everyone,
I have a 2007 SL550 that I purchased earlier this year. The vehicle is a rebuilt title, and as far as I can tell, it looks like it suffered damage in the rear and front bumper. Aside from the bumper covers, it appears the rest of this car is in great condition for it's age. Current mileage is 112,000. After months of trying to repair all the little things wrong with the vehicle, I have decided to part it out. If you're in need of parts for an r230, feel free to reach out to me. Thanks everyone!

2005 R 230 SL350 (M112 3.7). Sold the 1966 W113 230SL recently
I have 197U Obsidian black metallic. I’m looking for the exterior right side A pillar cover. Plastic, clips on. Mine is mysteriously out of shape where it meets the roof. Nothing you’d notice not knowing, it took me a year to discover this flaw, but perhaps here’s an opportunity.
Also: interior left A pillar cover. Someone stuck a microphone on it, I think, surface damage. Not sure about my interior code, data card says 201A black anthracite leather. Pillar cover is grayish I’d say.

The vehicle itself looks pretty good, other than the noticeable paint job to the front and rear bumpers. It's just between the brake master cylinder, the latest transmission issue, and ongoing manifold issues, I'm at a point where I can sell it and take a massive lost, or part it out and try to make some of my money back that I've put into it. I took it out yesterday and drove it and it was a dream. As of late though, usually it shifts into the infamous limp mode after about 10 minutes of driving.

I'm up in Jacksonville and there are probably several parts I'd be interested in, such as center console wood trim piece and the exterior trim panels next to the back window. There are some other parts like rear window gaskets/ seals and door parts but I don't know if you are ready to strip the car to that point. Let me know.

Between now and two weekends from now, I'm removing all interior pieces, and then I'm bringing the car to my friends garage to strip the rest. Should have everything out and ready to sell within 3 weeks. Get me a list of everything you need and we can work on some pricing.

You could fix all of that for a few grand and have a perfect driving SL.
I'm not sure what a manifold issue is... exhaust leak?

I need the part that is in the front of the glove compartment that turns the glove box light off and on. I need the center consul lid (perhaps the whole consul) if the latch still works when you shut it.

I've dumped $5k into the car in a matter of months. If i were to put a couple more grand into it, I would have been better off buying a pristine non rebuilt title SL. This is the only way for me to make my money back out of it.

Do you have the OEM air compressor for the spare tire? If yes, I'd be interested in it.
And do you have the cargo net for the trunk?
