Remote door lock/unlock on my 2006 SL500 does not work. Have replaced batteries in key fobs, and located the secondary fuse box behind the passenger seat, but cant identify which fuse controls that function. I understand it is #58 but they are not numbered...
2005 R 230 SL350 (M112 3.7). Sold the 1966 W113 230SL recently
No garantee, but try this picture.
Keyless go is F58, central locking has six fuses.
F9 and F26 in left front box, F38 and F41 in right front box, F57 and F71 in fond fox (rear). http://benzbits.com/R230/Fuses/

symptoms mentioned could well point to a vacuum pump issue.the pump controls door locks seat massage..etc.the rear trunk area(where the pump is located)can get moisture and the sponge like material that our german genius friends have encased the pump in for sound deadening can create a hostile environment for electronics.i know first hand.check with a voltmeter to see if current is passing through the pump..if it is the pump anyone with a screwdriver can remove the pump and sent it off for repair.good luck and i hope this helps.

The fuse to pull and re-install in order to reset the PSE pump is #71. It is the 3rd or 4th fuse from left among the row of fuses in the rear fusebox. It should be gold in color and rated for 20 amps.
If it's KeylessGo, that does not use the PSE (vacuum) system to unlock the doors. Because that would be too slow, the door locks with KeylessGo have a redundant electrical actuator.
