Is it made of Urethane or Fibreglass?

The original MB AMG bumper is made of urethane. The Carlsson lip is made of fiberglass. My understanding is that most other aftermarket parts are fiberglass too because they are cheaper to manufacture. Brabus might be urethane. Any pics of your bumper damage?

I know it looks way bigger than it really is (1½ inch) because of the Macro shots that I've taken but I wanted to show that the crack isn't clean. I've seen cracked Polyurethane bumpers and they are clean cracks this one feels different. It almost feels fiberous so I was wondering if it was Fiberglass. I have a feeling it's a repair and not a replace situation. Thanks for any input! I'm pretty sure that your sweet front spoiler won't cover the crack. Such a downer considering I scored an awesome deal on MINT HRE 540 19s with fresh Pzero tires for $3k off ebay. The shoes feel great. I'll have to post pics of those after I get it fixed up.

Ouch! But a lot less damage than what I thought. I imagined a big crack like the other guy that showed damage and got the Brabus bumper ( I think that was the title of the thread, brabus front bumper). Yeah, I agree, the Carlsson spoiler aint gonna cover it, it sits under the bumper rather than in front. Probably is repairable. They can probably polish it up and fill it in with some epoxy and then sand and repaint. Probably will cost you quite a few hundred dollars but not thousands. Post pics of it repaired with the HRE wheels. Love to see them!

AMG and Brabus are the only two companies that make their bodykit using Pur-r-rim. I dont think your bumper can be repaired as it is almost impossible to repair a Pur-r-rim material with good results.
