How To Remove Headrest Motor
Hello, I finally able to determine the passenger seat headrest motor on my SL55 is dead. I found many used units but I seem to be having trouble removing the unit from the seat frame. I found pictures online showing two "tab-post" at the back (of course) with possible slide locking type clips holding it to the frame? Does anyone know how to get this puppy off without tearing the entire seat frame off? All I see are rivets and no accessible torx screws of any type facing me. I was doing this at 2:00 am so maybe I missing something.
The best part of this is I found 3 snapped air hoses which I easily repaired! All the bladder type functions are back online. I was also able to raise the headrest temporarily, which was stuck for 3 years in it's lowest position. Thanks

Thank you. I think these instructions are for removing the bottom seat cushion to access motors under the seat. I need access to the backrest but, I guess you are trying to tell me what I feared - remove cushions to access the rear of the motor to unclip it from frame. Here goes my whole Friday!
