Brake Pads and Rotors

Hello,

I am going to change my 2003 SL500's brake pads/rotors but I cannot decide which brand should I have to buy. Actually, I usually buy Mercedes Benz original parts however 2 days ago after I remove the front left wheel I saw Brembo branding on the caliper's back side (on the front side Mercedes-Benz branding). I really don't want spend more to have MB logo on brake pads/rotors if MB originals are Brembo or whatever. Do you have tried any different brands than MB, TRW, Brembo or Jurid etc. or any suggestions. I am a daliy driver I don't speed or rally .

Cheers.
Niko

Do make sure you shut down your SBC using software etc, I got in a lot of bother just changing the pads as although easy to do, meant I had to update the ECU software to clear the dash fault.
