SL/R230: Door buzzer

I used a Mercedes proprietary scanner system that uses a multiplexor and personal computer. Menu structures are based on this system in most newer scanners. Using a system within STAR Diagnostics is a system called DAS.
TO STOP ANNOYING CHIME and BATTERY DRAIN, I think: (See the following post in this thread for DAS screen shot. (8) Annoying "Dont Forget Key Chime" | Page 2 | Mercedes-Benz Forum)
In DAS under Control Units, Information and Communication, Instrument Cluster with Maintenance…(ICM), Control Unit Adaptations, when asked toggle on your model year, hit F3, Special Equipment, I toggled Keyless Go to NOT PRESENT, pressed F3 function key twice, then pressed F5 to send code to the control unit. "Don't forget the key" warning in the dash is now gone. Because someone warned us in this thread, I did not toggle menu item “key dependency” to not present.
Because I could not get Keyless Go to work and the chime to cease when I was closing the door, I de-soldered the chime connection behind the instrument cluster long ago. I think making Keyless Go NOT PRESENT would have stopped the terrible chiming. I think this will stop the battery drain too.
