Memory Malfunction, 1 malfunction
Hello all. Recently purchased a beautiful 2003 SL55 AMG in Kona Hawaii with 42,600 miles. The top had not been down in 4 1/2 years, and now works perfectly ( rebuilt the flap motor ) I did make a rookie mistake right from the start. Consumer battery was dead and I hooked my old school 10 amp battery charger up. Charger kept flicking on and off and had some clicking coming from car. I now have a Memory Malfunction, 1 memory malfunction on the dash that I can't clear. The nearest shop with a SDS is 100 miles away from where I live. Can anyone tell me if a icarsoft MBll would be able to clear this malfunction? Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.
Aloha,
Vince

Scroll down using the steering wheel buttons to see what the malfunction is. You just need to fix the problem and the display will clear. It might still have a stored code, but no warnings will be active. I don't have a full list of malfunctions, but I have seen high beam or low beam out and bad side marker lights.

Hi MikeJ65, Thanks but I have tried scrolling with the wheel buttons and nothing comes up. Maybe doing something wrong, but cannot see anything when I scroll.

Hi, car just passed safety inspection a few days ago and I checked all light functions before hand. Safety also checks all lights. Did have a side marker out, but replaced bulb and now works fine. Thanks again for your suggestion.

Hi jvakos, I took the car to an indy shop and they were able to clear the malfunction. I believe it had to do with the SOS on my car due to being in Hawaii and having no service for that option here.
Ended up selling my 2003 SL55 AMG. It was a beautiful car with 44k miles. I paid $7,500 for it, top had not been down for 5 years. Replaced some hydraulic cylinders, rebuilt the trunk lid flap motor, and the top worked great. I live on the top of Kilauea Volcano which is in a rain forest so not a good area for the car. Sold the car to some folks from the sunny side of island for $16K and they were thrilled.
