How do I replace S117 Limit Switch Roof trunk will not close???

How do I replace S117 Limit Switch Roof trunk will not close???

It looks to me like I unscrew 1 screw, and slide it back through the trunk. It looks like a tight passageway. See my pictures.

The benzbits procedure says to remove power window… see link, and my abbreviated notes below. https://benzbits.com/R230/Roof/LoadLimitSwitch.pdf removal; says to remove power window on left rear side window; mark electrical lines location; unscrew bolt 1, Expose electrical line for load assist up/down limit switch connector s117, disconnect (in trunk); … install; particularly ensure electrical and hydraulic lines move freely

Thanks,

Those procedures do not really seem to answer my question. I studied all of them and numerous threads before I asked this question. One of them is the procedure I posted above.

I said something like:
How do I replace S117 Limit Switch Roof trunk will not close??? The benzbits procedure says to remove power window… see link, and my abbreviated notes below. https://benzbits.com/R230/Roof/LoadLimitSwitch.pdf removal; says to remove power window on left rear side window; mark electrical lines location; unscrew bolt 1, Expose electrical line for load assist up/down limit switch connector s117, disconnect (in trunk); … install; particularly ensure electrical and hydraulic lines move freely

It looks the procedure says: "unscrew 1 screw... remove power window". I think "power window" means the motor which is way forward of the switch. Do I slide it/the S117 switch back through the trunk. It looks like a tight passageway.

Has anyone replaced the S117 switch???????

TO REMOVE S117 SWITCH: Lower left rear quarter window. Remove pressed leather and sheet metal panels above S117 switch. Gently pry away bottom of switch from its mounting plate. (See attached pictures. A post on the back of the switch compresses to spring back and hold switch to mounting plate. The post is where benzbits for the AMG sited above says there is a bolt or screw.) Disconnect black electrical connector in the trunk. (IF ANYONE KNOWS A GOOD WAY TO DISCONNECT THOSE SMALL PLASTIC CONNECTORS, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I broke several connectors and soldered the wires back together eliminating the connectors.)
