I have been getting intermittent CEL for secondary air (smog) pump. It seems to only happen when the car sits idle for 5-10 minutes. The CEL will come on and I can hear the pump cycle on and off. Putting in gear it stops cycling, CEL remains lit and everything seems back to normal.

It does not always consistently come on after letting it idle, there have been times weeks went by and it never popped up.

I have a merceds iCarsoft reader I am using to pull codes. The P0410 pops up on its own, not seeing any codes related to 02 sensors. I can watch actual values in real time but I am no expert and do not see what would be triggering the code.

Any ideas?

If you can't find, feel free to ask more
but you will probably find the problem in those threads
I ended up disconnecting the pump and delete it with xentry, no more faults
It's useless anyway
