Fault Code Logic

Has anyone seen anything from Mercedes on the logic behind their fault codes? Working on US domestic vehicles, I can often find the set of events (logic) required to trigger a fault code, but I haven't been able to find anything for Mercedes.

As an simple example, a temperature sensor faulty code might get set at any time if the voltage read is < .50V or > 4.50V. A more complicated example would be some of the emissions monitoring where there might be 10-20 prerequisites for starting the monitor, a complex set of conditions to trigger a fault, and often times only a pending code and no MIL until the second fault occurs within x monitoring cycles.

For an example specific to the R230, what will trigger a C1526 Malfunction in pressure supply (ABC)? Other manufacturers would say something like "ABC Pressure Supply - Conditions to initiate monitor: 1) engine running > 10 sec, 2) ambient temperature > -20C, Threshold to trigger: Pressure < 175 bar for 3 sec or Pressure < 150 bar for .5 sec. Red ABC Drive Carefully warning light illuminated while threshold conditions are met. Monitor duration - continuous"

This information would be very valuable for trouble shooting, but I have not been able to find it.

Thanks, Bob. Exactly the type of info I was looking for.
