Sl500
2004 SL500 trunk floor cover

This is my first few questions of what I think will be many
1st my 2004 SL500 didn't come with a trunk floor carpet I have the spare tire looking at me when I open the trunk looking for what part numbers to hunt for. I think I am looking for the carpet and some hardboard floor.
2nd I have had to reset the fuse for my soft close trunk to get it to work for a day or 2. I believe I have damaged the pump with the battery tender cable coming out of the trunk and closing it.
3rd Am I missing a batter way to exit the rear cargo area with the battery tender cable as to not repeat the soft close problem
4th My lumbar feature in both seats seem to deflate after 10 minutes down the road where should I start with trouble shooting it
5th I have stock floor mats that the black rubber backing is flacking all over the carpets How do I tell what color code my interior is so I can order the best carpets?
Thank you for any help I just purchased this 04 sl500 with 42K miles and never have owned one so really clueless
Thx Foto

Trunk floor: what you need is a wooden floor with a glued on fabric, matching the trunk lining. Preferably, there ought to be a small rope on it, with a plastic hook that attaches to the grip of the trunk divider when you want to delve under.

About the fuse of the softclose and perhaps the seat bladders issue: see the second ‘sticky’, above the normal threads, for the whole story!
while there’s no softclose, try not to slam the trunk lid too hard too often, as that may crack your third stop light fixture (leaks may lead to further trouble in the lock).

Interior color: post your VIN here and someone certainly will tell you, or send you your complete data card.

SL55AMG, GL450, SLK, S550, Maserati Coupe
You can call a Mercedes dealer with your car's VIN and they can look in their computer to see the exact correct floor mats for the car.
Ask for the price, then ask for the part number that will correspond to the floor mats then you can look for those online possibly less money than the dealership might charge.

The trunk carpet is three pieces plus the tire cover. You have a gas tank cover, left and right quarter panel liners, and the tire cover. I don't remember seeing anything other than dark gray, so they might all be the same color.

I think that most if not all of the SL have a gray color in the trunk as shown in the picture below
I do not think that having the battry cable out while closing the trunk lid will cause any problems.

Search ebay for the trunk floor cover you are missing

About the color code of the interior in your car you just need to post the VIN of your car so member here can check it for you or you can call your local Mercedes and ask them
