SL/R230: load assist problem opens with trunk

load assist problem opens with trunk
Hi all I'm new 2009 SL 550 AMG package
When the roof is in the down stored position and I oopen the trunk, the load assits moves the roof up on its own casuing the trunk flaps to hit the folded roof partitions.
I'm not sure wht the assist moves the roof automatically I thought you had to push the red button ?
The flaps hit but I can push the trunk up further and they clear but then the trunk won't close automatically until I pull the trunk down again and stop the red light from flashing
It's very puzzling
I'm not sure if it's weak struts trunk opening height adjustment or a roof sequence reset ... but still, why does the roof tip up as I open the trunk ? isn't that supposed to be "manually" activated with the red button?
If the roof stayed down there would be not flap interference
Any ideas would be helpful !!
