I have a 2008 SL550 (black, with AMG sport package) currently with the stock 3 fin grill and thinking about swapping to an single fin grill, and I'm trying to find a good source for a single fin grill.

I know there have been other threads about single fin grills, but most of them are older threads and/or don't discuss 2007 and 2008 sources (maybe I missed them)...

Most of the R230 single fin grills listed online are for 2003 - 2006. However, I did find this one listed on ebay by seller "mbzpartsusa" for 2007 and 2008? Does anyone know this seller or have this grill installed??? Any feedback or pictures:

On other threads on the forum, I have seen the seller 55tech (jakuo) mentioned with good feedback, but they don't seem to have one for 2008?

Any opinions, feedback, or suggestions would be appreciated.

I hunted for the right one, as I wanted the fin in the centre to be straighter than the one in your eBay and, which seems to go up at the edge. For me it doesn't quite do it for me. I got mine from eBay still though.

I'll have to look if I their information is still on my computer, I think they did advertise on Ebay at the when I got it.

I just checked my records and I can confirm that I also bought one from the EBay source that you linked in your post.
It is mounted in a 2007 SL550 and it fits fine!
