Dash Board do not turn on when the car is opened
Hello Friends.
Latelly, the dashboard of my SL350 R230 do not turn on when i open the door with the key´s remote control. Even when i open physically the door (neither). The comand aps ntg1 system turn on with the previously mentioned actions. I must indicate that i move the car once a week (just to avoid the battery discharge). At the beginning i thought that the issue was in the battery of the key´s remote control but i exchanged it and the issue seems remain. Even now with the new battery i have to hold pressed more time de unlock button to open the car.
Also, using the second key remote control the issue remains as well.
In your opinion, where could be the origin of the issue? The dashboard depends on the front battery?
Sometimes after starting and put in movement the car, the dashboard keep on turned off. In that moment, dashboards needles do not work. Comand, gps and handsfree system work. And side lights works but there is not noice when they are activated.
i must turn off the engine and take out the key. After taking into it, the dashboard back to the life.
could there be a issue in the ignition contact?

Just report that the issue do not depend on the remote control key. I tried with the second key (that it is new, never was used) and the trouble remains.
It seems a communication problem. Do you think that this kind of issue can be solved with chinesse C4 star diagnostic scanner?

Are you getting the consumers offline message after you start the car? If the consumer battery is low, the car will not wake until the key is inserted. A STAR diagnostic system would be an essential tool to track this down, but it might not be as simple as reading a code.

. But i must say that sometimes i start the car and move some meters and the dashboard keep on turned off. In that moment i must stop the car, turn off it , take out the key and repeat again.next wednesday i have a date in the Mercedes dealer. I hope it will not be bloody expensive

Hello everyone.
bad news from my side. Today i brought the car to the official Mercedes dealer. After a diagnostic, i was told that the trouble is in the own dashboard. They stated that they did further checkings and certainly the problem is in the dashboard. So i have to exchange it.
In the official dealer a new dashboard is 1200 Euro, so i amg going to find a second hand unit and try to exchange by myself or repair the damaged one.
