Light Sensor Error

Hi,

I have a SL500, 2005, 7 speed. Australia.

I have been having the ‘convenience settings unavailable’ Iam sure I have a non genuine rear battery that’s been causing me some problems. As well I rarely drive the car.

I have gotten some good advice from this forum in relation to the above. And will get it fixed. Thx.

I recently got an error ‘Light Sensor’ drive to workshop. Never seen this one before. It came up while I was trying to access and start the car with the rear battery issue.

Does anyone know what this error means or what you need to do for it.

thanks in advance
Gerard.

If it doesn't say 'sunlight sensor' or 'sun sensor' I suggest you start with cleaning your windshield where the sensors are, behind the mirror.

I’ve seen the same error when my consumer battery had low voltage.
