Help to locate a thread on internet

About a month ago I found a thread that showed with great pics how to drill the crimp points out of the Right & Left Trunk Lock Frame Cylinders to allow the fork to be removed off the shaft to replace the seal with the RSC Auto Technik seals. The RSC seals are not an O' ring as such and will not stretch over the fork or the piston as both ends are too large and it would deform the new seal if tried. Hence the procedure to remove the fork end to allow the seal to slip on the shaft.
Once drilled out the fork then needs to be drilled to allow a roll pin to be inserted which locks it to the shaft once again.
I cannot find the thread again and thought I would ask the forum if they could point me to it.

I have just completed this DIY fix successfully and dang it within days the Trunk Lid Drive Cylinder started leaking.

I could be wrong but I thought the thread in question also showed how to drill the crimp points out on the Trunk Lid Drive Cylinder which are on the cylinder itself as this cylinder doesn't employ a circlip to hold the piston and rod assembly in the cylinder. Once drilled the fork crimp points need to be drilled out to get fork off and repeat the roll pin trick.
In the pic below of recon cylinder you can clearly see where the crimp points have been drilled out to release the rod and piston and then crimped again.

Has anyone seen the thread

Interesting. Seems like a lot of work though. How much to just but a new or rebuilt?
