Wrong strut was installed on left side

Greetings:

When I purchased this car (2003 SL500/R230) at auction, the ABC white light frequently illuminates. I only recently discovered that the previous owner had put an Arnott SK-2412 on the left side instead of the SK-2413.

Will having the wrong shock on the left side cause the ABC lights to come on? I ask this since there is a difference in the part numbers, thus causing me to believe the sensors would be incorrect for the strut.

Any help on this issue?

Thanks for any guidance provided,.

I suggest you contact Arnott and seek their advice. Perhaps they could help with an in situ solution. Otherwise you might be faced with replacement using correct part. And put your current Arnott on its correct side.
