Let me start with mine at 132,000 miles. Ownership: 1 year. running good so far, issues resolved: leaky cylinders, broke vacuum pump impeller, bad ABC (replaced), Vario roof adjustments, brake pads, fading headlamps, repainted hood and front bumper, new batteries
108k on mine. Remarkably well kept. Whoever owned it before me sure loved that thing.
I had to fix a leaky front lock cylinder in the roof, replace the front ABC accumulator and tighten the right door glass (was rattling). Also had to replace the throttle pedal and re-attach all the headliner and c pillar cover clips. Really not bad for almost 20 years old. Everything else works and the car runs and drives excellent. Fun car!
I can tell that age related issues are not bad if these issues are addressed on time. A well kept car can run forever...it is like a human body, if you got cancer and not attacked on time, things get worse. The ride I got, purchased pretty cheap since it wasn't well cared at all, so, issues accumulated and lost a lot of value. Then, these either go to recyclers or new owners willing to do the "restoring" themselves. This is my first Mercedes in a long time, before I owned a BMW 735 that sold with 300K miles and still was running good.! Hope I can keep this one running on low maintenance for a while. Most of these R230 are not daily drivers, so average miles are in under 10k/year.
