04' SL600 Wider Turbine Wheels
Does anyone know;
1) Who makes the Turbine wheels in the AMG option kit?
2) Where can we purchase same design wheels but in 10.5 widths or bigger?

Want my stock Turbine wheels? Perfect condition not a nick or scratch on them. I'm looking to upgrade to the Style IV or RennTech 10 spoke but, not the gun metal SL65 wheels.

Trimmer2, thanks for the offer but, I was looking for a wider track for the back end. Wanted to keep same stlye to be sort of a sleeper.
I see that you are ahead of me on the SL600 to SL65 conversion. Is the Renntech ECU’s worthy? Did you Dyno the car before after? Are you planning any rear end mods such as Limited Slip?

I understand about getting more rubber on the road but, I'm not planning any 65 conversions as I'm quite happy now...save for a wood/leather steering wheel with paddles which might be available soon. The ECU upgrade is/was incredible and the best bang for the buck. Yes we did dyno the car before and after and it fell right in line with the other 600's (CL's and S's)that came from the factory before and after the upgrade. I believe the stock number was around 540 (not the 495 in the brochure) and I don't remember the after mod number but it was around 625. I think I was also the first SL60 with the RennTech mods. Notice in the RennTech pricing they don't show how much increase in HP they're offering just the end result? That's because the cars are coming from the factory with the increased HP over the brochure.
The other best investment was the Escort SRX system. Saved me 100's of times! I have yet to get a ticket (knocking on wood...OUCH)

Trimmer2, you must be breaking loose those tires all day long! My car goes in Wednesday for before dyno, so I don’t know what my hp/tq is yet, but I break the tires loose from 0 to 35mph~45mph punches easily. Base on the ECU upgrades the stock setup won’t allow it to pass any more power to the ground. In the SL65, they upgraded the rear end to a 60/40 limited with a heat sink cooler. I am working with an AMG Mechanic to modify the SL600’s rear end to match SL65. I’ll let you know cost etc.. If you are interested? Also if you would pass on to me on the Steering wheel upgrade when available, I would appreciate.
As for making it an SL65, ya, I too will stop where you are. I just want to get the rear end to work a bit better. Although I did change the front center grill to the SL65’s and it looks like I will have to move to different rims as well if I can't get the turbine wider.
BTW: Mine is Black/Ash
