Question Window operation

Is there a way to program the windows on my 2014 SL550 to roll up automatically when putting the top back up? Right now I have to do it manually each and every time.

Not as an original feature. But there are two ways: buy a SmartTop module and program the behavior of the windows (and more) or 'misuse' the air recirculating button - see added page from the manual.
Disclaimer: from a 2005 manual, just try...

Thank you. Seems so dumb that when you want the top up the windows also don't automatically go up and close. Someone at MB isn't thinking...big screw up for sure. Or at the very least make it an option in a menu for the owner to decide what he wants.

I guess windows closing without direct user request poses a risk of injury. That undoubtedly is why in the original design you must keep holding the roof switch while opening/closing it. With a SmartTop module installed you just tap it and roof and windows finish their user defined cycle. Nice, but I am always aware of the risk for a passenger and myself, especially while getting out of the car.
