Question 05 Mercedes SL 500 Bumper v Carwash!

Hello Friends,
I was just at a drive through car wash here in Las Vegas. They say it is not their fault, but my front bumper has a hole in it. Can any of you tell me the best place to FIX this bumper? Here are some photos! I just covered the area with duct tape until I heard from the experts on this site. I am going to go get you a photo now!
thanks

This is my temp fix. I applied duct tape in front of the area. All of the pieces are there!

This is where it hit the truck in front of me. All of the pieces are there.

bondo and repaint is the fix, but better to replace the entire bumper imo...

You say the bumper hit the truck in front of you. Exactly how did that happen. Were you guided onto a conveyor or guided into the bay by an employee. I would agree a car wash can not do that damage without a greater accident at cause. All car washes have cameras for this purpose.

The answer is a new or used bumper. But that’s a nice hole to fill if bondo was used, and would be a lot of work. Some may even plastic weld and then bondo, then paint. The answer comes in cost of labor vs parts for you individually. A new bumper and paint will be close to three grand said and done with paid labor all around.

Lots of plastic bumper glues out there that will repair this. It’s repairable, but you need to find a shop that will do it. Replacing is the best option, but will be expensive for a new bumper. A used bumper would be good, but will more than likely need some repair, and more prep work to paint.
