SL500 Kleemann KL55
Battery Light showing when battery is good!
Hi there,
I have a 2005 SL500 which has a BATTERY warning light and visit workshop message on the dash. The battery has been meter read as has the alternator and both read healthy. Any ideas?

There are 2 batteries, have you checked both?

2005 SL 500 R230
First, try clearing the code and see if it comes back. The red battery message is a common appearance and doesn't definitively indicate trouble. You need a scan tool, such as the Foxwell or Autel, or someone who has one.

SL 350 R230 (3.7L with AMG Speedshift autobox)
Try checking your charging volts, should sit about 14.1 V
I used my iCarsoft and it cleared the red battery warning.
