I believe some of you have the same type screen as my CLK...
I had my Command Screen repaired by Gauge Saver in Florida. I am happy with the result. My restored repair screen is like new....better than new...now heat resistant. Old screen top...repaired screen bottom.

Can you show a nav screen or similar screen? My screen shows no signs of wear or damage, but there's no sparkle of colors in the displays, all rather flat.

The new screen is brighter and clearer than the old one. I think the old film had darkened from heat. The new display is new stuff that is heat resistant and different material is what I understand. This is a shot of old and new.
This guy does a lot of boat gauges and depth finder and fish finder screens. Depth finders can be very expensive. The new materials they use are amazingly clear and they are heat resistant much more now than a few years ago. My screen had darkened and was hazy and dull. My cabriolet has a black top and that could have contributed to it... I don't really know. I just know I am happy with the results. Amazing.

Eric is the owner. Ask for him. He is a good guy.
I studied this a lot from a lot of angles before I had it done. Ask Eric the cost. I took mine to him and they pulled it. It is on YouTube how to pull it. Does not seem bad.
If it was something in the trunk, I would have left it alone...LOL... It is my wife's little convertible and out play and date night car... we looked at it every time we were in the car. The screen is just right in your face. She is very very happy.
