Startup after 6 months
Hi guys
6 months ago I left my Sl 350 2007, km 75.000 in a cold barn - soon I will pick up my beloved SL, BUT, after 6 months I guess the battery is dead.
what should I do? find a booster, start up the car and drive it to service/inspection few km away OR should it be picked up and safefuly be tramsported to service/inspection?

Starter battery in the engine compartment, convenience battery in the rear boot or trunk. Disconnect convenience battery first , then starter battery, and reconnect starter battery then convenience rear battery last. Jump starting leads to bad things happening with these cars, it’s not recommended, and bad or flat batteries will be very bad as well.

You can safely jump start it from the front battery only. There's a procedure in the manual.
Rear battery is likely to be toast; front maybe not.
I'd be more concerned about getting oil pressure to a motor that's been sitting with all the oil drained out. Pull the fuel pump relay and get it cranking over for a while before firing it up.
