Hi,

1) you can remove the wheel and remove the front side of the inner side wheel well protection to access the bulb.
2) There are people that use a credit card to slide behind the lamp housing from the outside and then change the bulb, look it up on youtube.

I have done it using the first method. pretty simple to do.

It's a doozy isn't it?

You can get it from the top, but if you have a young teenager around, or someone with very small hands, they'll be able to reach in and click it into place.

Why is it that it's always the RIGHT one that blows?

With patience and some hand scratching it can be done. My hands aren't particularly small. While you're at it, perhaps consider using 'white' bulbs. They are as orange as can be when lighting up.

I removed the front right wheel & it's fender liner.
But I could only tech in & turned the bulb with it's retainer about 1/4 turn.

I will try again & take some pictures next time .

I gave up & put everything back, because I thought bumper & head light must be removed to get to the turn signal.

Thank you

Try from the top. It's tight in there but can be done with a bit of patience.

I have an 09, so mine has this little weird plastic cage thing over the top of it. I have thought about replacing them with white or just LED but not sure how I'd get it in there.

Osram Diadem

Thank you for your information.

I had help by 🧑‍🔧 removing the front bumper on the right side to access the headlight & check the turn signal bulb.

The bulb was good so I installed the LED bulb, but it didn't flashes normal just a long delay!

Therefore we install the original turn signal bulb back in.

🤔 I didn't know why it wasn't flashing before ?

Thank you

Probably just a corroded connection between the bulb and holder. Common issue.

The system is looking for a particular resistance across the bulb filament. You can't just replace it with a LED and expect it to work (unless there are special LED indicator bulbs with a built-in defined resistance available).

Yep, what Tom is talking about is a load resistor. You can buy these and place them in line to create the conditions the car is looking for. Superbrightled sells these, only a couple bucks each. Here is one in fact:

I'd rather stick to OEM designs. Using after market solutions introduces new potential problems. For instance, those 3M wire splicers under damp conditions, I wouldn't try it (R230 wire insulation has a weak reputation at that).

Off topic concerning the SL500,

did you ever hear 🙉 tick tick noise coming under the driver's head rest ?

How do I test the pulse function on the seat?

The Red light was on when push in, but no massaging vibration at all 🤔 ?

Thank you

Better start a new topic for that. Contradicting myself by reacting here: could that be the belt tensioner?

Parallel, rather than in line. You would need more current, not less.

Passenger side, I finally got mine in from the top after giving up 3x. It's like it felt stuck after ther turn, and I needed an extra thumb to get it. Just think of a friend that has smaller hands.
