r230 alarm disabling
Tracking down my consumer battery drain issues and one of them is potentially the alarm batteries. I prefer to simply take this potential problem off the list and just disable the alarm unit. Can this be done by just pulling the fuse, or must I literally remove the unit from inside the driver/front wheel well?

Fuse 25 - the brown 7.5A one in the LHS fuse box under the bonnet.
If the internal batteries in the alarm are really corroded, it might have already shorted out and blown the fuse. It's not a big job to remove the wheel well and pull the plug if you want to be sure. From memory that module has switched power constant power and ground; I don't know if both hot feeds are supplied from that fuse.
