SL/R230: roof problems

roof problems
hi everyone, extremely new to this so may sound a bit stupid lol, i have bought at auctions a mercedes sl350 r230 65000 miles, upon arrival i found that the roof does not work stop/start does not work and also the keyless go does not work ( i think the last 2 the car does not recognise the key) the last 2 im not really worried about at the moment but the roof is a pain in the butt. now i tried opening it again and the the boot/trunk lid started to open on the drivers side but stopped after about 1 inch , also since i had the car i noticed there was about a 3/8ths of an inch gap between roof and windscreen i managed to close it up a bit but not much.now the boot/trunk lid is open at the front end by about 2 inches and now i cannot unlock boot/trunk even with key but i have never been able to open it with the key anyway only on the fob. now i am not very good with electrics in fact i am absolutely useless so any help you can give me friends will be very helpful, i just hope it does not rain lol

If the roof is separated from the windshield that means that the windshield latch is not working! If the trunk lid lift just a little bit, that means the pump does not have enough pressure to lift the lid or does not have enough fluid!
If the keyless does not work, the vacuum pump in the trunk should be bad. Check if you hear a noise when you operate the keyless! If you could hear a noise and still does not work, it means your pump vanes are broke!
