Hello All. I am hoping someone else has had experience with the failed pressure relief valve or quarter panel vent as its also called. I have seen several different diagrams from MB showing different systems between non AMG cars and also SL55 compared to SL65 and I'm stuck. I tracked down one of the hard to find valves that are known to cause fuel to be back-pressurized and dump into the charcoal canister. I have been told they sit up above the rear differential and are hard to access and change out but for the life of me can not find the valve and associated hose and sensors. I found a picture online of one removed with all hoses from a SL55 and the valve appears to have corrosion leading ,e to believe it is somewhere accessible to moisture and road salt. If anyone has had to change this out on an SL65 I would greatly appreciate it or point me in the right direction to figure out why the car is pumping fuel in charcoal canister when its running. Its definitely not due to diverted fuel from filler neck.
