Vario Roof not working on 2006 SL500 R230 after all hydraulic cylinders replaced
Vario roof was working fine except for almost all the hydraulic cylinders were leaking. I replaced all the cylinders and rebuilt the front cylinder. Now that I’m done the pump will not run at all using the switch. I have an autel maxisys elite scan tool and in the Vario roof requirements it shows that a limit switch is not reading ok. It doesn’t tell me which one and there are no codes in the module. When I look at the data for each switch I see all of them being identified as open or closed except for the Tubular frame switch, luggage compartment division, and trunk lid. I need help identifying where the switches are I should look at. I also have another issue. I was trying to manually close the top for the time being, but the locks at the front do not line up with the latches. It looks like they need to come outward a little more, so I can’t fully close the top. I’ve turned the allen key as far as it will go to unlock it but it’s still not close. Any ideas?

I'm not sure what configuration you were in when you did the scan, but lots of reasons why the roof won't operate.
First of all, you need to get it closed and latched. Get a helper, unlatch it and use the allen key to hold the latch fully open. The roof needs to hinge slightly at the c-pillar joint and then it will line up and latch.
Once switches 373 and 374 are both identified, try lowering the roll bar. Once you get the roll bar to lower you at least know that the pump is functional and can proceed from there. On your scan, 381, 383, 384 all need to be identified for the roof to function. I'm not sure what is going on with load assist, that is a single acting cylinder and should be either up or down. Did you manually lock the tubular frame locks? They are not identified as locked for some reason.
