Hi again guys. Recently I got the roof to function properly then malfunction on separate occasions. In order… I most recently replaced the RVC module/computer controller, had the roof pump rebuilt, lowered and locked down the previously deployed rollbar, replaced the bent and broken windshield latch mechanisms, replaced the leaking front latch cylinder with a Top Hydraulics rebuild, replaced leaking load assist cylinders with rebuilds, replaced all the other roof cylinders with rebuilds except for the rollbar cylinder.

Now the roof stopped lowering with the trunk flaps open, the trunk lid straight up and stuck, and the pump still running. The roof lowered into the trunk area fine before the trunk lid stuck. The roof had operated properly for about a dozen cycles before it got stuck again.

Stuck at that point is usually because it is waiting for a load assist down signal, but your scan shows that it is recognized as down. It also shows the tubular frame as NOT open, so it seems that it just started to close. I would check the frame lift cylinder and make sure that everything looks good there. That point probably has the maximum pressure requirement for the frame lift cylinder when closing the frame, so it could be lack of pressure for whatever reason (weak pump, low fluid, bypass valve not tight, etc). Have someone hold the button and try to assist the trunk manually. You should be able to tell if it is trying to close or doing nothing.

Mike, at this point the flaps need to fold in and they don't. I don't know if the controller is waiting for S118 to confirm the frame locks are closed, if not then an electric problem stops the flaps motor from folding in the flaps (provided there's no mechanical seizure there).

Au contraire mon amie… On the opening cycle the flaps remain open to settle at the rear window shelf. The picture shows how the trunk lid and open flaps settled after I relieved hydraulic pressure by topping off the pump’s hydraulic fluid. Afterward, I opened and closed the pump pressure relief valve. Like when the trunk lid got stuck pointing straight up, when I push or pull the center console switch, the pump runs and the roof/trunk lid does not move.
