Very happy with this solution. Went looking for just stock new button covers as they were getting a little tacky to the touch. Found these for cheaper than the OE buttons. On the sport 3 setting on the sprint booster and feels more appropriate for selecting gears and really helps the steering wheel looks aesthetically.

Where I ended up putting the sprint booster controller. Very convenient and stealth
So originally took the wheels off to clean the brakes, and wheels. Ceramic coated the wheels and barrels while dressing the rubber both sides. Then said you know what the paint could use a little love too. So before 4 step paint correction, decided to debadge to make clay and wheel time easier. But seriously I like the look better with out any of the badges! I think Ima rock like this for a minute. Also will make microfiber jobs lite work. My non conscious mind says this looks more esthetically pleasing and clean. Anyway just sharing. Happy holidays. Love my SL65!
it was inevitable. Happy with the set up! Was going to do some wheels and tires but after wheel finish correction and ceramic, I’m staying with the stockers.
Love this build thread! Very nice and IMHO very clean upgrades. Great to see some fresh SL65 mods.
thank you kindly! You know I always thought the 660 would be a great fit for any plus 4k lb RWD auto. They are R compound but 200 vs 100 tread wear so they have some meat to work through. Works great for the warmer months to help her get some reliable traction with the traction control off. Actually I never leave it on with those tires. Plus with these I’ve noticed after close inspection after a season they have another season left in them. As opposed to my R888 I ran on my ZO6 and my last 911Turbo, that only gave me one street season with the occasional track time. Very happy for the street and the 660. Plus the size in 275 is very close width wise to the stock 285 with a tape measure on the stock 65AMG wheel.
Just ordered a set of fresh Volk TE37 Saga S Plus in Dark Grey Gunmetal *Volk Racing TE37 Saga S-plus Wheel (Diamond Dark Gunmetal). *August ETA on the wheels
Front- 19x8.5 5x112 38mm (qty 2)
Rear- 19x11 5x112 35mm (qty 2)
*”RAYS” Flat Series Center Cap (Diamond Dark Gunmetal) (qty 4)
Plan is to run the stock front tire size and then go 305/30R19 for the rear with some sticky RT660’s.
Buzzkill is August ETA…so let’s of time to dream. Anyway once they get here and on I’ll post up the bounty. Some inter web images in the mean time.
