SL500 2004 won't crank, but was just running well
Hi I'm a newbie to R230, but have had several other MB's incl. 2003 ML350, and now have 2003 S500 w/ 298k mi.
Just bought a very nice 2004 SL500 a week ago and it was running perfectly with no codes. Then yesterday the ABC light came on so I scanned it, but that is a separate issue to take care of...
The issue right now is that after scanning a few times a "DIAG" window came up on the Comand screen a few times, so I turned the ignition off. Now it won't even crank, but all of the lights come on. The battery is good, it's been on a charger and I had just had it running a few mopments earlier. Is there anything that would disable the starter circuit in that situation?

Which battery are you charging? If the rear battery is low and the 100A firewall fuse is blown, it won't start.

I charged it overnight through the consumer battery and now it is fine. The ABC red light had also come on and it is now gone too!
