Dome lights, vanity, floor and map lights not working

I took down the dome enclosure on my 2003 SL500 to replace the bulbs with leds. I didn't disconnect the cables to the dome enclosure first. I noticed the leds didn't light up and tried to switch them around. While the dome enclosure was hanging the lights went out to the dome, map lights, vanity and floor. Convenience lights on the doors still work. I checked both front fuses and they all seem to look ok. I am getting a fault of b1057: Control Unit n70 not transmitting data. I don't notice any cables damaged or pulled as a result of hanging. I opened the control unit (dome enclosure) and did not see any physical damage or anything suspect on the board. Has anyone encountered such and issue and fixed it? Thanks!

Also - I switched back to the old bulbs in the dome enclosure and still no luck.

Turns out it was a blown fuse. Fuse 38 specifically. I tried again with getting LEDs to work with the dome but no luck. Sticking with the existing bulbs.

Front drivers side fuse box under hood I think. Sorry don’t have the fuse diagram handy but it is on this forum somewhere.

It sounds like you may have a problem with the control unit or a connection issue. Check all connections and wiring closely, reset the car’s electrical system by disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes, and verify that all fuses are functioning correctly. If the issue persists, consult a professional mechanic for further diagnosis.
